The DD Entrepreneurial Foundation introduced purposes are open up for its new grant plan to assist long term woman business owners and small business leaders.
The foundation will present begin-up cash to new businesses and grants to present companies led by woman business owners, and fund entrepreneurial chances for younger women of all ages via training and internships.
A total of $20,000 in funding is readily available for a few grant finalists. A grand prize receiver will obtain a $15,000 grant. A runner-up will get a $3,000 grant, and a next runner-up will obtain a $2,000 grant. The inaugural grant plan is funded by proceeds generated from gross sales of DD Challenge Wines.
The reason-driven organization was made in loving memory of the founder’s late mom Diane Rizzo (Dickerson), a trailblazing entrepreneur and co-founder of the Capriotti’s sandwich franchise. With robust community roots, the business’s Pinot Grigio and Rosé are at this time sold completely in Delaware liquor merchants and dining establishments, with a Cabernet coming in February.
“My mom was well recognized for loving her Pinot Grigio. It is also a enthusiasm I share. When thinking of how to retain her memory alive, wine was the 1st point I believed of,” stated David Britz, DD Job Wines founder. “But I desired to do a lot more than promote a wine I desired the proceeds to be employed to inspire potential business people and enterprise leaders.”
Grant purposes are due by Friday, March 4. Organizations have to be the greater part woman-owned and by now be duly organized. Applicants and organizations should be fashioned in Delaware or in the surrounding Delmarva location.
