HANNIBAL — Kamylle Inexperienced is all set for her job interview.
The sophomore at Hannibal High School was collaborating in the SkillsUSA competition hosted by the Hannibal Occupation Centre and Specialized Middle.
SkillsUSA is a scholar business for profession and specialized universities which holds an yearly ability and trade levels of competition. Winners at the neighborhood level will go to the condition levels of competition, and state winners will then vacation in June to the countrywide SkillsUSA competition in Atlanta.

“I will be likely in, introducing myself and telling them what I am implementing for. Then they will inquire me inquiries as if it’s a real task interview,” she explained. “They will check me and give me my scores and then soon after that at the awards ceremony then I will know and advance to the future round.”

Seven colleges competed in the contest that includes classes from auto support technician, welding and carpentry to nursing, customer services, architectural drafting, promotion style and design and more.
“The contest itself is really driven by what is getting taught in the classroom,” said Brent Meyer, director at HCTC. “The levels of competition is demonstrating and displaying what is likely on in lecture rooms every single day.”
Other competing technical schools were from Moberly Place Technical Center, Kirksville Spot Technological Centre, Macon Place Specialized Center, Pike-Lincoln Technological Heart, Linn County Area Job and Technical Center, and Hart Occupation Centre from Mexico.
The levels of competition also held management contests which include simulated position interviews and public speaking in topics related to their vocation of choice.
