Tower resident Patti Stoddard, creator of the Doggy Bunk Mattress, gained the “Hat Trick” award, which was given for the most polished pitch. She obtained $5,000 and an chance to current her pitch at the 2021 MN Cup, a local community-led, community-private partnership hosted by the College of Minnesota’s Carlson Faculty of Administration.

Stoddard has been building the Doggy Bunk Bed for about two decades. The bed, which sits atop an aluminum and metal frame that hovers just over the foot of the mattress, enables for pet dogs to rest around their homeowners without having taking up their entire mattress.

The RINK Pitch Competitiveness was created with funds from the Minnesota Division of Work and Financial Development’s Start Minnesota grants.
