Main architects of India pitch for sustainability in future architecture

The occasion was the launch of the e book ‘Five Decades of India’s Created Environment’ at the ongoing Festival of Architecture and Inside Design (FOAID) right here.

A panel dialogue was held following the ebook launch in which Council of Architecture’s president Habeeb Khan, mentioned conservation architect Abha Narain Lambah, architect Dikshu C

Kukreja and Prof. Vivek Sabherwal, director of Apeejay University of Architecture took part.
Khan pitched for incorporating sustainability in long term architecture, stating, “architecture need to be oriented towards environment”.

He emphasised on the legacy of Indian architectural kinds, from historical period to Mughal period to British rule and finally of the model that emerged put up-Independence.
“Given the way, we going forward now, it would seem the foreseeable future of architecture (in India) is in harmless hands,” he said.
