The Puttur rural police arrested two rowdy sheeters for allegedly threatening and making an attempt to extort funds.
Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonawane reported that the arrested had known as an entrepreneur from Puttur and demanded Rs 13 lakh to launch their associate who is lodged in jail. The arrested are Kalander Sharief alias Shafi, a resident of Golthamajalu in Bantwal and Hasanabba alias Hasan alias Acchu alias Achun, a resident of Manjanady in Mangaluru taluk. The duo had questioned the entrepreneur to get completely ready with Rs 3.5 lakh inside of two times and even threatened to kill him and his young children if he unsuccessful to prepare the revenue, claimed the SP.
Following the criticism, the law enforcement had registered situations below various sections of the IPC from the extortion callers. The law enforcement who swung into action arrested the duo though they have been returning immediately after accumulating dollars from the entrepreneur. The law enforcement seized Rs 50,000 hard cash, a vehicle and a cell cellular phone from the arrested.
The Bantwal law enforcement experienced opened a rowdy sheet versus Kalander for the offences he carried out in the previous while Hasanabba is a rowdy sheeter in Konaje Police Station.
