Steven Strickland has a port in his upper body, a microorganisms-fueled cough in his lungs and cystic fibrosis hanging more than anything.

He’s 28 decades previous and does not know if he’ll see 30. He’s in and out of the hospital like it is the corner retailer. He could go on entire-time incapacity, but is adamant about performing at the Genius Bar of the regional Apple Shop, no make a difference how exhausted he receives dragging himself there.

“If I was on disability, I’d really feel like I was quitting,” Strickland reported. “I would be declaring that cystic fibrosis experienced gained and I’m increasing the flag … cystic fibrosis is a disorder that will in the long run get the war. But I can win all the battles until finally then.”
