Ali known as himself a “Bitcoiner” and claimed he had held on to the cryptocurrency by means of multiple bear marketplaces and “years developing apps & protocols on Bitcoin.”
“Bitcoin maximalism assumes a zero-sum earth. However, we’re in an growing crypto economic climate,” said Ali.
He reported that “attacking developers” and “new use-cases” doesn’t help Bitcoin but only encourages innovators to move to other ecosystems like Ethereum and Solana.
He cited the examples of Tether and non fungible tokens or NFTs equally of which at first applied the BTC community but step by step moved on to Ethereum.
“Maximalists have named Ethereum a “scam” for years now. This has not stopped the progress of Ethereum,” tweeted Ali.
He drew a distinction concerning Bitcoin and Ethereum by pointing out that people today who “discover” ETH or other L1s “find a flourishing community of builders and apps.”
“They make up their minds dependent on their results and not by an offended mob of maximalists.”
Ali mentioned that despite the “many shortcomings” of Ethereum, Bitcoin has “has little to give as options.”
“There are no main decentralized exchanges, liquidity protocols, stablecoins in the Bitcoin ecosystem.”
Ali also qualified guns on maximalists for their assault on enterprise capital but clarified that his criticism was not of people but the method bordering maximalism.
11/ This thread is not an assault on Bitcoin maximalists, the folks. Quite a few of them are my good friends, and I recognize why they aim on Bitcoin.
This thread is questioning the maximalist approach. The maximalist approach is ineffective, and we need to have to change it.
