COLONIE — The 1st ax-throwing entrepreneur in the Capital Location is now a champion at his sport.

Mark Mirasol of Rensselaer, co-proprietor of The Lazy Axe in Colonie, came back again from a deficit to acquire the Huge Axe Event at the Planet Axe Throwing League Championships in Fort Really worth, Texas, on Dec. 12.

Mirasol and his throwing spouse, Gary Dater of Scotia, had high hopes for the Regular Hatchet Twin Event (which is Mirasol’s beloved discipline) but they had an off night time, whilst their opponents threw incredibly nicely.

They did better in Conventional Hatchet individually: Mirasol captured 5th put and Dater took 13th out of 128 throwers.

Mirasol was all smiles as he talked about the gain Tuesday at his property foundation on Central Avenue.
