So what did he do — Paul started to sing and worship the Lord. Then, an earthquake, a jailbreak, a revival and a church is born. You can go through it in Functions 16.

Now, about 13 many years afterwards, Paul was in that same problem — back in jail with situations he did not want and could not management. So he wrote to the church again at Philippi about what was happening to him. What might he have reported this time?

“Listen Church, I want you to know that what has occurred this time seriously stinks. I arrived on this trip believing God desired me to do his get the job done through preaching to governing administration officials, but that did not occur. As a final result of this turmoil I’m going through yet again, I have made a decision prayer does not do the job, and I am hardly ever heading back to church yet again.”

But that is not what Paul wrote. Here’s what he essentially wrote to the Philippians: “I want you to know, pricey types, what has occurred to me has not hindered, but served my ministry of preaching the gospel, creating it to increase and unfold to numerous people. For now the elite Roman guards and governing administration officers overseeing my imprisonment have plainly regarded that I am here simply because of my love…. And what I’m going as a result of has in fact induced a lot of believers to turn into even a lot more courageous in the Lord and to be daring and passionate to preach the Phrase of God… (Phil. 1:12–14 TPT).

Paul was expressing, “I experienced a program, but God had a greater strategy!”
