Woodland’s 1st Competition of Lights Parade aims to carry enterprise downtown – Day by day Democrat

A  Competition of Lights Parade and Vacation Tree Lighting will acquire place at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, alongside Main Avenue in downtown Woodland.

“All of this is performed to deliver small business downtown and independent Woodland from bordering cities and metropolitan areas as staying a location for regional tourism, buying and eating,” Marc Hutt, president of the Historic Downtown Woodland Team, reported.

The Historic Downtown Woodland Group, Go to Woodland, the Woodland Hoteliers Team and metropolis officials teamed up to generate the celebration. The parade is scheduled to get started at 5 p.m. from West Street to 3rd St. and is prepared to go right until 7 p.m. A tree lights will then be held at 7 p.m. in Heritage Plaza.

Hutt extra that vacation gatherings will arise from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. that will attribute neighborhood bands, a go to from Santa Claus, a snowmaking device, a Sno Shack Truck providing shaved ice, trees and wreaths for sale by the community Boy Scouts troop, Disney character photograph chances, a tractor journey down Key Street and more.

Al Eby, operator of Blue Wing Gallery and a member of the city’s Hoteliers group, mentioned he felt like this was an option to be able to embrace what Woodland is about, which is coming together to make a thing happen.
