MADISON – New Virginia Tech head coach Brent Bry, in the method of assembling his coaching staff, has specific Wisconsin offensive line mentor Joe Rudolph.

Neither UW mentor Paul Chryst nor Rudoph returned messages left Monday night but a UW supply mentioned Pry would like Rudolph to coach the Hokies’ offensive line.

Pry reportedly has hired an offensive coordinator – Jacksonville Jaguars restricted ends coach Tyler Bowen.

Rudolph, a UW alum who played guard beneath Barry Alvarez, is in his seventh year on Chryst’s UW team.

He was the offensive coordinator/limited ends mentor underneath Chryst at Pittsburgh from 2012 by way of 2014.

Prior to that, Rudolph served as UW’s restricted ends coach below Bret Bielema from 2008 as a result of 2011.
