Graduates of the Wiota Consolidated Superior Faculty met for a two evening reunion on the July 8 and 9. Above 100 alumni and guest loved a picnic supper prepared by the Wiota Steakhouse to renew friendship there on Friday night, July 8. On July 9, they met yet again at the Cass County Group Middle in Atlantic for far more reminiscing and a banquet organized by the Downtower. Youth from the Benton-Franklin 4-H Club assisted by carrying foods trays and seating persons. The Wiota High School officially closed soon after the 1961 faculty yr, but friendships continue being robust.
The application was based on a school working day, finish with a history lesson about the origin of the university, a geography lesson about wherever the attendees now stay, a math lesson about the numbers of folks current from each individual course, and even a class meeting to determine irrespective of whether the reunions will proceed to be held. Ron Osturs was honored as the only attendee from the class of 1947, the earliest class represented.
