Winter Storm Izzy: Put together for Journey Delays, Icy Streets | The Climate Channel – Posts from The Temperature Channel

Highway crews are pre-managing interstates and other key thoroughfares, airlines are warning of travel delays and buyers are stocking up on provides as a winter season storm threatens to carry snow, ice, wind and frigid temperatures across a vast swath of the U.S. around the upcoming holiday break weekend.

Southwest Airways issued a travel advisory for Friday and Saturday in pieces of the Midwest and claimed it will waive transform charges for flights to, from or by way of airports in Des Moines, Kansas Metropolis, Minneapolis, Omaha and St. Louis.
