BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Soccer has acknowledged its initially-ever invitation to the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in New York Town. The Hokies will sq. off towards Maryland at 2:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Yankee Stadium. The recreation will be broadcast nationally by ESPN.

The New Era Pinstripe Bowl marks Tech’s 34^th all-time bowl berth. The Hokies have reached bowl eligibility for 29 straight seasons and will return to bowl motion following opting out of the 2020 bowl season owing to COVID-19. Tech’s most latest bowl look arrived vs. Kentucky in the 2019 Belk Bowl.

The Tech-Maryland bowl contest renews a collection that dates again to 1919. The Hokies (6-6) have received 5 of their previous six online games against the Terrapins (6-6). The most new assembly among the two squads arrived when Maryland gained a 27-24 overtime selection at Lane Stadium on Nov. 16, 2013. The two former ACC foes are scheduled for a four-game future home-and-residence sequence with Tech slated to host dwelling online games in 2027 and 2029, whilst Maryland will host the Hokies in 2026 and 2028.
