Virgina Tech announces the signing of Alberto Orso

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men’s tennis head coach Jim Thompson announced the addition of freshman Alberto Orso on Wednesday. Orso, a native of Vincenza, Italy, will be a part of the Hokies for their upcoming spring year.

Orso, a 2020 graduate of Istituto Paritario Alessandro Volta, competed at the Italian Federation Middle in Bari, Italy.

An accomplished competitor on the ITF Junior circuit, Orso was ranked as significant as No. 138 in ITF Junior rankings and No. 2133 in ITF Professional rankings. He was a finalist in the ITF Junior function in Corfu, Greece, and owns two ITF Junior doubles titles. Orso’s rating acquired him the prospect to contend in the ITF Junior Grand Slams in 2020, although the competitions did not just take put thanks to COVID-19.

Orso is the son of Martina Schiavo and Stefano Orso, and has four siblings. He designs to research industrial and Program Engineering.
