CLEVELAND — There is no medical center immune.

Violence towards health treatment workers isn’t really new it can be just getting even worse.

A CDC report from 2018 discovered 73% of people injured in workplace violence ended up health care staff. In 2020, OSHA uncovered just one in five nurses claimed getting physically assaulted on the job.

“We’ve inspired reporting,” Gordon Snow, Cleveland Clinic’s director of world protection functions, told 3News. “We have manufactured it a great deal easier for all the caregivers right here, and the place of work violence committees are seriously going out preaching zero tolerance, that it is not a thing that you have to endure as a caregiver below.”
