Sherry Ott is a journey blogger who travels all-around the earth and writes about her experiences. Her most recent adventure is right here in the Peace Back garden State, with strategies to move on to neighboring states.

“During the pandemic, I took up biking simply because I couldn’t travel any longer outside the house of the state. I took up biking in Denver and I was biking all around Denver and a single day it just hit me that I must complete this capitol to capitol walk,” Sherry Ott stated.

Ott is continuing the unfinished route of her father, Lee Ott, who came up with the thought to travel to every state capitol by foot when she was only a teen.

“I really don’t genuinely know why it was kind of a Forrest Gump point to do right before Forrest Gump. He relished going for walks, he desired a large objective, he wanted to do one thing unusual,” Sherry Ott claimed.

Sherry Ott states her father designed a map connecting all the capital structures. But communication was a large amount different again in the 1980s when Lee Ott started the mission.

“There had been no cellphones, so they would use poster notes to adhere them on quit signs and my dad would use paper maps,” Ott said.

Sherry Ott’s most recent journey involves touring from Vienna, SD to Pierre, which was the previous route she states her father walked. She then designed her way in this article to our Capitol town which was a demanding leg of the journey.

“It was a wonder I did not have a flat the full time and I rode on some truly tricky gravel streets. I was astonished. I was well prepared to improve tires, but it did not happen,” Ott stated.
