BELTON, Texas—The College of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) hosted the McLane School of Business’ initial graduate residency day on Saturday, Aug. 27 in the Lord Meeting Heart. The function started with recognizing UMHB alum Joey Longoria as the very first recipient of a graduate software certification for completing the concentration in Data Analytics.
Longoria graduated from UMHB in 2020 with a B.S. in Computer system Science. Though doing work on his undergraduate diploma, he was a two-time NCAA DIII All-American, Gagliardi Trophy semifinalist, two-time American Southwest Meeting (ASC) Defensive Lineman of the Calendar year, two-time All-ASC honoree at Defensive Tackle, 3-time Educational All-Convention, and winner of the UMHB Loyalty Cup. Longoria then concluded his M.S. in Facts Programs in 2022 with a concentration and experienced certification in Information Analytics while serving as a graduate assistant mentor for Cru soccer. Longoria is presently employed by NASA as a recon expert.
The event continued with a presentation from visitor speaker Dave Malenfant, Government Vice President of Marketplace Liaison and Expertise Development for the BSMA (Biotech Offer Management Alliance). He also serves as Director and oversees the Advisory Board for the Centre for Source Chain Innovation at Texas Christian College. Just before becoming a member of the BSMA and TCU, Dave spent around 30 years in several market roles at companies this sort of as Alcon Laboratories in which he was Vice President of International Provide Chain.
