Without All-American guard Paige Bueckers and with just eight players readily available, No. 3 Connecticut was crushed 57-44 by Georgia Tech on Thursday. The reduction snapped a 240-activity successful streak by UConn versus unranked opponents.

UConn was stored to 5 factors in the fourth quarter and didn’t rating its 1st basket of the fourth right until 1:18 still left in the recreation. Christyn Williams led the Huskies (5-2) with 13 factors, but UConn shot just 31 % from the field.

The Huskies, who were being down to a few guards from Ga Tech, are battling a slew of accidents. Bueckers is out six to 8 months with a broken leg, Nika Mühl could skip three weeks with a foot injury and standout freshman Azzi Fudd is out right until at the very least mid-December with a foot injuries. Also, forward Aubrey Griffin is day-to-working day with multiple accidents.
