Theatreworks’ “Snowy Tales” brings puppets, holiday exciting for the entire household – UCCS Communique

“Snowy Tales,” a household-welcoming winter season-themed puppet show, will run from Dec. 4–19 at the Ent Center for the Arts at UCCS.

Why do animals alter coloration with the seasons? How do snowflakes discover their designs? Why do not pine trees reduce their needles? In a season comprehensive of issues and curiosities, Theatreworks at UCCS invitations audiences of all ages to investigate the marvels of wintertime as a result of the magic of puppetry. 

Subsequent last year’s creation of “The Mitten,” Theatreworks is launching a new tradition — and continuing its popular foray into puppetry and mid-winter storytelling — with this year’s “Snowy Tales.”

The production, working weekend mornings from Dec. 4–19, options many kinds of puppets and a script created by nearby artists to examine the mysteries of winter for audiences of all ages. Theatreworks is excited to be working with Katy Williams of Katy Williams Patterns to carry to existence stories of reality and fable, partaking curious minds each young and outdated this holiday getaway season.

Carrying out Saturdays (9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m.) and Sundays (11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m.), the production will characteristic pod-design seating, as very well as flooring place close to the stage and all around the theater, to encourage children of all ages to distribute out, wiggle all around, and take pleasure in the present free of charge of seating constraints.
