Texas Tech is rated No. 4 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper’s preseason poll launched Monday, the fourth calendar year in a row the publication has had the Red Raiders in the top 5 to start the time.

Tech returns 22 players from a crew that completed 39-17, shedding at house to Stanford in a tremendous regional.

Texas is ranked No. 1, adopted by Vanderbilt, LSU, Tech and Stanford. Rounding out the best 10 are Florida, Oklahoma Condition, East Carolina, Mississippi Point out and Notre Dame. Another very ranked Major 12 team is TCU at No. 13.

Tech opens the season at the School Baseball Showdown at Globe Existence Area in Arlington, having on No. 30 Michigan at 7 p.m. Feb. 18, Auburn at 3 p.m. Feb. 19 and No. 22 Arizona at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Tech’s home opener is at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 towards Dallas Baptist. The Crimson Raiders host Kent Point out in a 3-activity sequence Feb. 25-27.
