Tech work opportunities to mature by 1.5% in the next fifty percent of 2022: CompTIA

Tech employment in Canada is expected to continue its advancement trajectory in the remainder of 2022, in accordance to CompTIA’s “State of the Tech Workforce Canada” report. 

The report also discovered tech employment accounted for about 6.3% of the total Canadian workforce in 2021.

Employer occupation postings for technology positions in 2021 enhanced by 59%, or 54,552 careers, while job postings for all occupations increased by 50%.

Among metropolitan locations, Toronto leads the way in conditions of tech employment as a percentage of over-all employment, at 10%, adopted by Montreal, 8.3% Vancouver, 7.8% and Calgary, 6.4%. The focus of tech personnel in these locations is better than the 6.3% nationwide benchmark.
