The University of New Orleans is poised to deliver just one of its leading schools to even bigger heights with a new identify and generous donation that will mean extra sources for students and faculty.
The Dr. Robert A. Savoie School of Engineering has been named in honor of the Louisiana indigenous and longtime businessman who, along with his wife, Lori, donated $5 million to the college. It is the premier present to an academic higher education in the university’s heritage. At present, Savoie is the president and Main Science and Engineering Officer of Sev1Tech, a leading company of IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud companies and engineering to governing administration agencies and important commercial businesses. He served as the CEO of Geocent, LLC, a Metairie-based mostly know-how and engineering companies business till its acquisition by Sev1Tech this calendar year.
