The Schuylkill County Fairgrounds web site was abuzz last week as hundreds braved the warmth in search of entertaining, thrills, or a chilly ice product cone at the area’s leading summertime celebration — the Schuylkill County Good.

For a 7 days every summer, the 73-acre plot in close proximity to Summit Station springs to lifestyle — carnival lights flash, fried foods sizzles and the seem of people today obtaining a blast echoes by the valley.

The fair is the county’s most attended yearly celebration, and for good reason.

His mother, Jill Tobash, of Schuylkill Haven stated heading to the fair has been a family pattern for as extensive as she can try to remember, and she happily carries on the customized.

“I love the food,” Jill Tobash mentioned.

Tobash was far from by itself in her fondness for the fair’s cuisine: hundreds perused the stands alongside the fair’s midway, exactly where fryers bubbled, and patties and poultry sizzled on grills.
