SAN DIEGO – Powered by Margarita Skriabina and Avelina Sayfetdinova, the Texas Tech women’s tennis plan opened its time and engage in at the Torero Tennis Basic hosted by the University of San Diego at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Middle Friday.

Skriabina begun the working day in fashion for the Pink Raiders, defeating No. 21 Alexandra Yepifanova of Stanford in straight sets (6-4, 6-2), whilst Sayfetdinova shut the working day with a hard fought a few-established (2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4) victory above No. 42 Maria Titova of Huge 12 rival Kansas.

Other singles highlights integrated Oliva Peet rolling previous Ludmila Kareisova of Ole Overlook (6-1, 6-4) and Metka Komac dropping Olympe Lancelot of No. 15 FSU 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles action, Sayfetdinova done her best 2- opening working day when she teamed up with Kailey Evans to generate a 6-3 victory over San Diego. Skriabina also closed the working day 2-, as the Russian paired with freshman Cristina Tiglea to make a tricky 7-6 (3) tie breaker victory about Kansas’ Titova and Lacasse.
