Singer and author Imelda May possibly, brown eyes peering from beneath a dark fringe, is thinking about the freedom she finds in poetry, something she suggests can be elusive in present day songwriting. “All tracks have to be 3 minutes now, but who made the decision that?” she asks. “With poetry, I do not have to imagine of restrictions, or rhythm, and the subject matter make a difference can be anything at all at all. That is the way tunes should really be.”

She’s been producing poetry for a long time but until finally fairly not long ago has saved it generally to herself.
