Adhering to custom, Galt Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored the holiday getaway celebration and evening meal. Volunteers handed out plates of spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and salad to attendees, who gathered at tables to get pleasure from the foods and lively discussion.
When Santa arrived at the Chabolla Local community Center, attendees took turns sitting down with him, and each individual got a packet of presents: a scarf, a beanie, a notepad, a candy cane, a pencil and a Christmas ornament.
Attendee Phillip Gonzales reported he enjoyed his chance to meet Santa.
“He gave us awesome gifts. We respect them,” Gonzales mentioned.
Garibay said STAR fills a require for all those in the group with developmental disabilities.
“Most of the packages for specific needs are for young children and so it was definitely special that we have one particular for grown ups,” Garibay explained.
