A salute to emergency providers and to start with responders is the application for this month’s Airplane Outrageous Saturday on Aug. 20 at the Mojave Air and Area Port at Rutan Subject.

Airplane Ridiculous Saturday is a month to month event sponsored by the Mojave Transportation Museum. The function runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and incorporates no cost admission to historic shows at MASP.

The system incorporates a presentation by MASP Fireplace Chief Damian Farrar about using fireplace extinguishers in cockpits during flight and how to extinguish aircraft fires on the floor.

To increase to the system, Kern County Hearth Aerial Functions will clearly show off their UH-1H Tremendous Huey helicopter. Originally utilised by the U.S. Military for troop and cargo transportation and specialised operations from 1963 to 1975, Super Hueys have been modified for firefighting services.

Farrar’s speak will commence at 11 a.m. in the MASP board room. Seating is limited and reservations are demanded. A donation is asked for for the presentation.
