On July 26, 2022 at around 953 pm, the Polk County Sheriff’s Business office received a 911 phone from a feminine who determined herself as 32 yr aged Samantha Stewart, who lives off of FM 352, in Corrigan, Texas. The caller stated that another person broke into their home and killed her partner, determined as 32-yr-old Jeffrey Stewart.   Officers with the Corrigan Police Office and Sheriff’s Place of work speedily arrived and immediately secured the scene. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Place of work arrived and commenced their investigation and processing of the crime scene.     Investigators also commenced interviewing witnesses, spouse and children and the victim’s spouse. Soon after all interviews and evidence gathered, Samantha Stewart was arrested and charged with murder.   Justice of the Peace Sarah Rasberry, arrived on scene and conducted the inquest and ordered an autopsy to be performed by the Harris County Professional medical Examiner’s Workplace. We would like to thank the Texas Rangers and Corrigan Law enforcement Department for their assistance in this case.   Samantha Stewart was booked into the Polk County Jail for murder, with Justice of the Peace Sarah Rasberry environment a bond of $500,000.00.
