The El Paso County Parks & Recreation hosted Lights on the Lake, a getaway lights celebration at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta, on Saturday, Dec. 4. The party featured the 2nd once-a-year “A Night time of Hope Honoring our Health care Personnel and First Responders” ceremony. 

Winter park hrs at Ascarate are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. day-to-day by way of early January. Admission is free, but you can find a $2 park entry price Saturdays and Sundays.
