ATLANTIC — It’s that time of calendar year all over again: The school bell is ringing, and mother and father are dropping off their children entire with backpacks at minimum for some college students — at the Audubon Local community Universities, middle college and large college college students never begin right up until Monday.
In Audubon, elementary started off Tuesday, with 5th-12th beginning Aug. 29. Learners won’t have to make up misplaced days since the school goes by hours, not times in university, Superintendent Eric Trager stated the students will get the time in, but will show up at about four days much less, a little something he thought pupils could not be not happy about.
On Monday crane was operating in front of the making to set machines on the roof Trager mentioned he believed that was the final of the crane work, at the very least for now. One more sign of the on-heading renovation integrated shifting some classroom space around. “We have short term class rooms in the north parking lot, that will mean considerably less parking, but which is component of the price of development,” Trager explained.
Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton pupils are also back to college this 7 days.
In a letter to Exira-EHK dad and mom, Superintendent Trevor Miller said it was a good time to welcome Erica Van Cleave, the new 6th-12th grade principal, who has been doing work with Carrie Bauer, pre-K to 5th quality principal, They have been “hiring new staff members members and concentrating on the positives of our district and communities,” Miller mentioned.
“Erika comes to us from Oakland Riverside wherever she was Secondary Assistant Principal,” he included, “We hope absolutely everyone has had a wonderful summer and are as fired up as we are to return to university.”
Other spot educational facilities will be welcoming back college students currently, and Superintendent Steve Barber states he — and the rest of the Atlantic Community Educational institutions team are “absolutely psyched to be back again with (them).”
In Atlantic, college students had a 1 and a half hour early dismissal, and college students in fourth and fifth quality received to have a search at the new school rooms they will have on Monday afternoon.
