BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Central Oregon Local community College’s Jim Wilcox, little business enterprise adviser and method manager for the college’s Compact Small business Development Middle, not too long ago was named Oregon’s “State Star” for outstanding company by the state office of the countrywide SBDC network.

Wilcox will be honored this September at the association’s nationwide meeting in San Diego.

“The impacts you have built on the small business proprietors you have assisted are commendable,” said Mark Gregory, network director of the Oregon SBDC, in asserting the award to Wilcox. “Your 22 many years of support to companies in Oregon are genuinely extraordinary.”

To date, Wilcox has assisted and encouraged 859 smaller business enterprise purchasers, has introduced 29 smaller corporations and served build 600 work, and has worked with organization house owners to secure $39,106,622 in loans and capital for business expansion, in accordance to affiliation records.

With a track record in management, small business ownership and human resources, Wilcox has comprehensive encounter in handling the day-to-working day business enterprise operations of a compact company. He holds a Grasp of Small business Administration from Portland Point out College.
