The renovation of Old Primary into housing for Veterans has reaped a prestigious national award.

On Wednesday, the venture been given the 2021 Advisory Council on Historic Preservation/Housing and City Improvement Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation.

This once-a-year award acknowledges historic preservation projects that also provide very affordable housing and/or expanded financial prospects for minimal- and reasonable-earnings family members and people today.
