In earlier years, families would fall off their youngsters at the Outback Steakhouse in West Ocean Metropolis and they’d be bused to Walmart to shop.

But starting off previous yr the party switched to a drive-via format at the Higher Ocean Metropolis Chamber of Commerce — the Young Professionals’ mother or father business — at 12320 Ocean Gateway in West Ocean Metropolis.

“We’re doing it the same way as previous 12 months,” Nellans claimed. “In a long time prior, prior to covid, little ones would meet up with us at the crack of dawn at Outback … Now, it’s a (socially-distanced) push-via exactly where mom and dad carry their young children. We have Santa out front. We can support way extra young children this way.”

Nellans explained the logistics of getting to and from Walmart, put together with the time of day, manufactured it challenging for young children who aren’t immediately regional to take part, so the new format was relatively of a blessing in disguise.
