BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Northwest Health and fitness announced on Thursday it is ending existing contracts to supply unexpected emergency healthcare services to elements of western Benton County and selected towns which include Cave Springs, Centerton, Decatur, Gentry, and Highfill.

According to Benton County, the termination impacts two contracts: a person is a a few-12 months contract to give EMS to western areas of the county and Decatur and Gentry that was not too long ago renewed for an additional 3-12 months time period. The other is a 2nd 3-year contract for pieces of the county and Cave Springs, Centerton and Highfill.

Benton County suggests it and the Metropolitan areas of Cave Springs, Centerton, Decatur, Gentry, and Highfill ended up shocked by the determination designed by Northwest Wellness. The county, in conjunction with the mayors of the respective cities, has “immediately” initiated a process to find a replacement EMS service for the influenced locations and is self-confident that there will be no interruption in ambulance assistance to any of the approximate 50,000 citizens serviced by the EMS contracts.

The termination clause is for 180 days. Northwest Health will carry on to deliver support until finally then.
