KJAS.com is reporting a Sabine County resident was determined in a Newton County wreck that assert two life. The Texas Section of General public Protection says two drivers are useless and 1 passenger is wounded next a head-on crash in north Newton County on Friday evening. It happened at about 8:30 on Highway 87, about 3 miles north of Burkeville.
In accordance to DPS Sergeant Shana Clark, a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck was southbound while a 1997 Ford pickup truck was northbound. Clark reported the driver of the southbound Chevrolet crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with the northbound Ford.
Sergeant Clark said the driver of the Chevrolet, Joey Mcclelland, 33, of Newton, died at Jasper Memorial Hospital, even though the driver of the Ford, Terry Williams, unfamiliar age, of Hemphill, was pronounced useless at the scene.
Clark explained a passenger in the Ford, David Tilley, 40, also of Hemphill, was flown from the scene to Kingwood Healthcare Middle.
