DES MOINES, Iowa — The Dogtown organization district around Drake University now seems a whole lot brighter.

InvestDSM officially flipped the swap on a chromatic light show on the 2300 block of University Avenue on Saturday.

The organization celebrated the new addition with a road get together in the center of the highway Saturday night time.

Amber Lynch, InvestDSM’s executive director, hopes the new lights glow much more notice on the tiny corporations close to Drake.

“We seriously are attempting to develop an attraction that keeps people today coming back,” Lynch said. “Drake University gets extremely silent in December and January as students go away for the holiday seasons, and we needed to give the relaxation of the local community a motive to take a look at this business district.”

The display screen was funded by means of a grant from Wells Fargo and will grace the business district by way of at minimum the stop of the winter season.
