MSU-Meridian hosts Business Right after Several hours to celebrate 50th Anniversary

MERIDIAN, Pass up. (WTOK) – Mississippi Condition University’s Meridian Campus celebrated a large milestone Thursday evening at Riley Middle.

MSU-Meridian and the East Mississippi Small business Advancement Corporation hosted a Enterprise Just after Hours party all to celebrate the university’s 50th anniversary.

Neighborhood firms and alumni had been invited to the party to network and fellowship with a single an additional.

Dr. Terry Dale Cruse, the Head of the Campus, claimed he was pleased to celebrate the momentous event with the group.

“It’s truly remarkable to see how the college has growth in Meridian above the 50 years. I assume if you look at the impression particularly the downtown campus, the Riley Campus has had on this community. The ripple result, the influence on the local economic is actually outstanding,” explained Dr. Cruse.

C.D. Smith is 1 alum who attended the event and he said he was thankful to the university for offering him the chance to more his education and learning.

“Well, it can make me happy to have been a graduate from this campus, here in Meridian. Once again, being a nontraditional college student, it would have been hard to get up to the major campus, but this campus offered the possibility that I and numerous of us who are so proud that this campus exists because without it, we would not have been ready to go on our education, get the job done, have a relatives, and all of that,” claimed Smith.

Randy Carroll, one more alum, reported he was happy to be in a position to spend time with other alumni to commemorate the anniversary.

“It’s usually good to get collectively with other leaders in the community. Folks who have a like-mindedness of setting up this local community and generating it far better,” reported Carroll.

Soon after 50 many years enrollment numbers are at an all-time substantial and the college is for good dedicated to educating foreseeable future generations of learners.
