The proprietor of Mountain Lifestyle Outlet in Rutland states he is both annoyed and disheartened just after a break and enter at the retail store early Sunday early morning that resulted in $40,000 of destruction to equipment and bikes.

Mike Clarke states the incident took place at 4:50 a.m.

He states this is the third time his shop has been damaged into this calendar year.

“They did not choose anything at all, but they did problems to the property and a number of bikes trying to get a bike out. This is the 2nd crack-in in three months. They obviously knew what they have been making an attempt to concentrate on simply because the bicycle they were hoping to take was a $9,000 electrical mountain bicycle.”

Clarke suggests an person arrived in by means of a window.

“They threw all of the bikes off of a rack, went by means of the store. That bike was truly chained up in the retail store so they went again and acquired some cable cutters to cut the lock and grabbed the bicycle. They tried out to get out of the retail outlet a couple of various ways. They then realized they had to go again as a result of the hole and then when they had been nearly again to the window the police confirmed up and afraid them absent.”

Clarke claims no arrests were created and the Kelowna RCMP are now investigating.

“The volume of damage is a pretty big kick in the pants. I don’t know no matter whether it is the area of town we are in because we are on a main highway that we have troubles with. What I discovered immediately after the last split-in is that the bicycle theft marketplace is humongous in Kelowna,” Clarke included.
