Metro Council passes resolution to pay out travel expenses for abortions

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Council has voted to do the job all around the state’s abortion ban.

The council passed a resolution Tuesday that now asks the Metro Employee Advantages Board to glimpse at no matter if staff can be reimbursed for the prices to travel for an abortion.

The 2nd aspect of this resolution asks for the expenditures to be lined if they are not now.

The resolution handed with only one council member who made a decision not to vote.

Council associates say this resolution is a press for motion.

Metro council also requested police a handful of weeks ago to make abortion scenarios the “lowest precedence.”
