How The New 5G Technology Could Have an effect on Air Travel

The delayed 5G rollout [near airports] earlier this 7 days made nationwide headlines, and community authorities are hoping to teach the general public about why this is important for Oklahomans.

5G is a new engineering that delivers quicker online services and better connections.

AT&T and Verizon have been setting up to roll out this technology this earlier Wednesday but instead delayed it due to the fact of concern from the FAA that some of the indicators from the 5G towers could trigger interference.

“When you go to the airport, a good deal of us go to WIFI and do our small business and e-mail and so on,” explained OU-Tulsa professor Hazem Refai.

Planes use a machine named an altimeter to measure altitude dependent on the encompassing air force.

The 5G connection could disrupt the altimeter’s functions, developing a harmful predicament for passengers.
