How Mark Zuckerberg Changed the World

From a pull-out student from Harvard University, how did Mark Zuckerberg change the world?

Mark Zuckerberg, born in 1984, is well known within the tech and business industry. However, his name is renowned for co-creating the most popular social media network worldwide- Facebook.

He was a computer science student from Harvard University when he and his fellow students started creating Facebook in his dormitory on February 4, 2004. It is a site where users can create their profiles, upload photos, and communicate with other users.

The idea of Facebook started as a social media network for Harvard students only- but with the help of others, Mark Zuckerberg built up the website and expanded to further universities and colleges. And by 2009, Facebook is known as the most popular social media known in the entire world.

But how did a social media network, Facebook, changed the world? Facebook has more than 1.2 billion users (as of now), and every year, more users will sign up and use the site!

Facebook changed how people connect with others. Before communication was hard and people have to go a  long road just to send out messages. At first, Facebook was meant for the students in Harvard to interact easily with the other students using only their computers. 17% of the population currently uses Facebook to connect from different parts of the world.

Mark Zuckerberg changed the way people share thoughts. Facebook is primarily used as a site where people post content like photos, videos, ideas, and more to share with their Facebook friends. It is also used for entertainment where people can spend their free time watching and learning things they are interested in. It also helps in become updated to the latest and current situations anywhere in the world.

Mark Zuckerberg helped changed and improve business marketing. People often use social media, especially Facebook, as a platform where business owners promote and sell their products.

There are tons of other things how Mark Zuckerberg changed the world other than co-inventing Facebook. Zuckerberg is now known as the world’s youngest multi-billionaire with his $91.7 billion net worth as of 2020. A pull-out student from Harvard University (he continued his studies after creating his own company) is now a young multi-millionaire, philanthropist, entrepreneur and American media magnate, and the current CEO of Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg is believed to change our world again in the future.
