WINCHESTER — Winchester’s Hideaway Cafe has been awarded the U. S. Chamber of Commerce’s initial LGBTQ-owned Small business Achievement Award.

The award, part of the chamber’s Aspiration Significant Awards, acknowledges a LGBTQ-owned modest business enterprise that represents the important contributions made by LGBTQ-owned corporations.

Hideaway Cafe, positioned at 141 S. Loudoun St., was picked out soon after getting seen as “a central community gathering location for everyone regardless of disabilities, beliefs, or discrepancies.”

When Hideaway Cafe was named a finalist for the award, Kidd mentioned she was humbled that the cafe’s status has carried it so significantly. She explained she and the workers remain humble.
