This calendar year at New York City’s yearly Harlem 7 days – a celebration of the vivid and historic local community – honored the neighborhood’s contribution to Black and Latinx new music by holding the second annual Harlem Songs Competition.

The festival, formally sponsored by Harlem 7 days and the West Harlem Improvement Company started Aug 2 and will run till Aug 21 this summer time. 

The occasion is made by renowned Harlem musician, Ray Chew and in the earlier has seen artists like Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Stevie Surprise, Melba Moore and lots of other esteemed musicians. 

This year the competition will host a lot of digital and in-person performances and events, which include gospel, spoken word and dance performances. 

Harlem Week, an once-a-year celebration of the most effective of Harlem, will work to endorse the community’s wealthy African American, African, Caribbean, Latinx and European record as well as the arts, culture and organization that prosper there.
