Farmers Espresso Sequence

Be a part of us for the once-a-year Farmers Coffee Collection at the Guthrie County ISU Extension place of work on the initial Thursday of every single month from December to March! All events are absolutely free many thanks to our generous sponsors!

All coffees will be held from 9:30-11 a.m.

1. 1/2 pound turkey sausage

2. 1 tablespoon oil (canola or olive)

4. 1 clove garlic, minced

6. 2 cups diminished sodium chicken broth

7. 1 can (15.5 ounces) white beans (cannellini or excellent northern)(drained and rinsed)

8. 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes

9. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

10. 1 cup full wheat pasta

11. 1 cup fresh new spinach (cut into bite sized parts)

12. Shredded parmesan cheese

1. Warmth a massive saucepan over medium heat. Cook sausage for 6 minutes. Drain grease from sausage. Take away sausage to a plate or bowl. Wipe the remaining grease out of the pan with a paper towel.

2. Add oil to the pan and heat about medium. Increase onion and garlic. Sauté for 3 minutes.

3. Include drinking water, broth, beans, tomatoes, and floor black pepper to the pan. Heat right up until boiling.

4. Insert pasta and prepare dinner until tender (8-10 minutes).

5. Cut down heat to lower. Insert sausage and spinach. Simmer until spinach is wilted (about 3 minutes).
