NIA Community Support Network hosted its Sixth Once-a-year Spooktacular on 11th Avenue concerning 66th and 67th streets Oct. 30 and its Halloween Pageant in Owl’s Head Park Oct. 31.
Youngsters enjoyed live shows, a petting zoo, a large maze, pumpkin decorating and costume contests.

The 11th Once-a-year Children’s Halloween Pageant and Parade took place at Coney Island’s Maimonides Park Oct. 30.
Alexandra Silversmith, executive director of the Alliance for Coney Island, mentioned the festival was a wonderful accomplishment and the neighborhood was delighted to have it again.
“The skies cleared correct prior to we opened and all attendees were capable to appreciate the festival functions, which culminated with the parade down the boardwalk to Luna Park in Coney Island for their free rides,” she stated. “To see the many smiling faces and people taking pleasure in themselves and celebrating Halloween was tons of entertaining.”
