On a fog-shrouded Saturday early morning, with fog so thick the lakeside runners’ system was not obvious, 175 runners alongside with family members customers and supporters collected at Brite Lake in Tehachapi. They have been there for the once-a-year Sizzling Chocolate Turkey Trot 5K Run.

It was put on by the Tehachapi Valley Recreation & Parks District and sponsored by Alta One particular Federal Credit score Union.

Alta One’s Jessica Davidson stated: “As the representational sponsor, we like to display our aid by giving back again to the Tehachapi community.” She said the race is but one way to “show our appreciation to our customer foundation.”

As race starting time approached, the fog started to raise and with temperatures in the 60s, runners set off for the 5K operate at 9 a.m.

The best three adult males and ladies were just about every awarded Butterball turkeys, and each finisher obtained a mug stuffed with incredibly hot chocolate and finisher medals.
