MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech hosted a vigil Tuesday night time as a spot for the group to appear together and start therapeutic in the wake of a taking pictures. 

Many persons held candles as they collected on the Melbourne campus.  

Speakers asked these in attendance to pray for Alhaji Sow, 18, the university student who was shot and killed. 

Law enforcement say on Friday they been given experiences that Sow experienced a knife and was chasing other pupils at a dorm hall. 

Officers say when confronted, Sow lunged at them with a knife, so they shot him. 

It’s been a difficult pair of times on campus as Sow’s good friends and other students wrestle to approach what happened. 

“The impact I experienced in the short time I understood him was that he was total of lifetime. He was energized for what it would convey,” said Sow’s buddy, Anya Johnson.

“I truly feel like Florida Tech is accomplishing every thing they can to lower the results, specially with this candlelight vigil. I seriously come to feel for any individual that was concerned,” stated college student Kessler Cluck. 

College officers say they simply cannot launch details about the capturing right until the police investigation wraps. 

Counselors have been on campus for folks who need to have to speak with anyone.
