Just an hour southwest of Portland, the Evergreen Aviation & Area Museum presents guests a glimpse into some of the country’s earliest airborne endeavors. The museum’s centerpiece is the first Spruce Goose, viewed as “the major wood airplane at any time made.” In the spirit of Halloween this calendar year, the museum is opening its doorways following-hours Oct 29–31 to guide website visitors of all ages on flashlight-led tours between the ghosts who allegedly haunt the premises. —GG
