In what historically has been a male-dominated percussion, woman drummers are on the increase. The Drumline for St Paul of the Cross Large Faculty has twelve energetic drummers and only two are youthful adult males.

Though they’re nonetheless outnumbered, extra ladies are enjoying percussion in drum corps teams than at any time just before. “The range of ladies in marching percussion is undoubtedly escalating,” claims Luigi Cilloniz Director of Bands at St. Paul, who presently balances roles as a band director, drumline teacher, and Jazz bandleader. “Young girls really don’t look to will need encouragement to do so.
